Four engineering disciplines
Ramair engineers four primary product lines for the commercial and utility vehicle industry, supported by a fifth function: the distribution of compressors, alternators, and service components needed to deliver and maintain complete installations. Each product line is engineered around the specific chassis and accessory architecture it serves, rather than adapted from a generic component design.

01Compressor mount kits
The original Ramair product line, in continuous development since 1985. Compressor mount kits comprise cast brackets, drive components, and ancillary hardware engineered to fit a refrigeration, air conditioning, or compressed air compressor to a specific truck chassis.
The engineering challenge is geometric. The compressor must sit at the correct distance and angle from the engine's drive pulley, with belt routing that avoids interference with chassis components, accessory drives, and the engine bay envelope. The bracket must transfer drive load through to the chassis structure without inducing vibration or fatigue. Belt geometry must remain stable across thermal cycling, load variation, and the full service life of the installation.
Ramair's solution combines cast bracket manufacturing through long-established European partnerships with chassis-specific engineering executed in Melbourne. Cast brackets deliver 100% manufacturing consistency with no distortion or alignment variation across production runs. Belt geometry, pulley alignment, and load transfer are designed and validated for the specific chassis before production. The result is a kit that fits perfectly first time, every time, and performs as if it were factory fitted across the full service life.

02Alternator drive systems
High output alternator drive systems supply the electrical power needed by commercial vehicles operating with extended idle and accessory loads. Service vehicles running on-board equipment, refrigerated transport with extended pre-cool cycles, logistics fleets with hydraulic tailgates and temperature monitoring, and specialist vehicles with auxiliary lighting, communications, or process equipment all require electrical capacity beyond standard original equipment.
Ramair engineers the drive geometry, mounting structure, and belt routing required to integrate a high output alternator into the existing engine bay envelope. The integration must preserve original equipment warranty positions, maintain serviceability of standard engine components, and deliver belt tension and pulley alignment that supports sustained high-current operation.
Alternator drive systems are supplied as complete kits, including bracket, drive components, tensioning hardware, and where required the alternator itself sourced through Ramair's distribution channel.

03Hydraulic and pneumatic drive
Hydraulic and pneumatic drive systems power the working hardware integrated into specialist vehicle bodies. Tippers, tankers, service vehicles, vacuum trucks, refuse vehicles, and a wide range of body-builder applications require auxiliary drives capable of delivering hydraulic flow or pneumatic capacity to the body system, often while the vehicle is stationary or moving at low speed.
The drive must be integrated with the vehicle's engine accessory architecture without conflicting with the original drive system, the cooling system, or the body builder's structural integration. Ramair engineers the bracket, drive geometry, and integration solution required to deliver reliable hydraulic or pneumatic output across the duty cycle of the application.

04Battery and electric auxiliary mounting
The transition to electrified commercial vehicles introduces a new generation of accessory architectures. Electric compressors, electric hydraulic pumps, lithium auxiliary battery banks, and electronic control units all require mounting solutions engineered for the vibration, thermal, and structural demands of commercial vehicle service.
Ramair extends the engineering discipline applied to mechanical mount and drive systems for forty years to the new electric and battery auxiliary requirements. The bracket geometry, structural attachment, vibration management, and thermal isolation are engineered for the specific component and the specific chassis, rather than adapted from generic mounting hardware.
This product line is in active development as the commercial vehicle industry electrifies. Engineering enquiries for specific applications, new platform integrations, and OEM partnerships are welcomed.

05Service kits and component supply
Alongside the engineered product lines, Ramair stocks the service kits, spare parts, and replacement components needed to keep installations performing across their working life. Ramair-brand service kits for installed systems are held alongside replacement compressors, high output alternators, drive belts, tensioners, idler pulleys, and bearing service parts.
The complete kit supply position, with engineering, manufacturing, and distribution functions operating from a single source, allows Ramair to deliver and maintain installations without the supply chain fragmentation typical of the aftermarket sector. Same day shipping on stocked lines.
